My writing is a creative interpretation of history and mythology, but I am most fascinated by real people throughout the ages. Who did they love and hate? What did they fight and die for? What did they fear?

The Wulfhedinn fantasy series is inspired by the wolf-skin clad warriors of pre-Christian Europe. It was believed at the time they had superhuman strength and killed with a single blow.

The Wulfhedinn’s story has evolved over the centuries into today’s “werewolf” archetype, but who were the real wolf warriors? Their legacy is legend, but they must have been mortal.

Perhaps inside all of us is a bit of Wulfhedinn—that wild inner voice that is always howling to break free.

I feed my Wulfhedinn by playing ice hockey and prowling the wild forests and historic sites. I am also inspired by books, travel, art, and music, especially the music of Jethro Tull.
